There are fourteen boats including a "Wheely" boat designed for wheelchair users that has an (electric) outboard motor.

Boats may be booked via Online Reservations or calling the Club House in advance of your visit.

Items to note for your visit:

  • You are welcome to bring and use your own electric outboard motors*
  • An anchor is provided for each boat. An additional anchor (small) may be brought to the club by the user*
  • Drogues may also be used*, with drifts working well in suitable winds. Care for other boats must be taken

When returning a boat to the jetty at the conclusion of fishing we kindly ask that you leave the anchor on the bank (after removing any temporary knots that may have been tied) and place the oars neatly inside the boat.

The Wheely Boat

The "Wheely" boat was provided by The Wheely Boat Trust which was previously The Handicapped Anglers Trust.
The front ramp allows easy wheelchair access and the boat is powered by an electric outboard motor available via Online Reservations or the Club House in advance of your visit. This is supplied free of charge when booking the Wheely Boat.

Access from the car park to the boat jetty is via ramps and paved paths. The toilet in the Club Hut is suitable for use by handicapped anglers.

*All equipment that is used in the water and not owned by the Club, MUST be dipped in the onsite tanks
